random of sorts.

there have been a random of sorts happening within the past several days in tanzania.

we haven't had water at our house for 3 days.
temperatures are nearing 100 degrees during the afternoon.
i have 39 mosquito bites. those are only the ones that itch!
i've been asked to play the flute for worship at church on sunday.

the skies were clear this morning and walking to school, i had a perfect view of mt. kilimanjaro.

mercedes handed this note to me - in the middle of my teaching today. i stopped long enough to laugh and thank her for such a compliment

haha! That is so wonderful! Yes! What a GREAT little note. Aw.. I know how much notes mean to you, and that one seems pretty special indeed. A keeper. Nice pic of the mountain too. I hope you get water soon..

Oh.. and YES bust out the flute... so strange and awesome. I wish I could hear you play! Good luck!

Savannah-
Thank you so much for sharing this with me! I have been lost in your blog for the last hour- and loving every minute of it. Like I said before- I am not usually one to convince students to go somewhere- but somehow from what I knew about you- this was a place you needed to go. Both for what you would gain, as well as all the of students who you are impacting there. Thanks for making UNI proud, Savannah!
